Customer Policies and Procedures

Who:

Spotless Maid Service is a professional home cleaning service, fully insured and bonded. Our employees wear Spotless Maid Service uniforms and company cars to identify themselves.


Equipment and Supplies: 

Spotless Maid Service supplies all cleaning equipment and supplies.


Conduct: 

Our employees do not smoke, eat or drink while in your home. They do not watch TV, play the radio or any other electronic device. They are there for one reason ...to clean your home.


Team: 

We normally work in teams of three. Occasionally our teams include more or less.


Payment: 

Payment is due on the day of services. We accept cash, checks, Visa/ Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Any other arrangements need to be made in advance of service.  While payment on completion for one-time jobs may be made with any option above we do require a major credit card on file to schedule service.


Pets and Plants: 

We are pet friendly but appreciate your help in making sure pets are secured and safe on cleaning days. Our office should be made aware of any special requirements in safeguarding your pets. Due to the individual care that plants require we are not able to maintain them.

 
Extra Work:

Our cleaning teams follow our standard cleaning checklist and also specific instructions on the worksheet customized for your home. Please let us know at least 48 hours in advance for any additional needs.


Keys: 

Please make sure our cleaning team has access to your home on cleaning day. Most of our customers provide us with a key. Customers' keys are secured in our office and are not attached to any name, address or other identifying information.


Security Alarms: 

If your home is equipped with an alarm system, please be sure it is in an off or unarmed position prior to our arrival.


Schedule Changes: 

If you must reschedule or skip your regular cleaning day, we appreciate a 48 hour notice. If we are unable to enter the home upon arrival it may be necessary to assess a lockout fee of $45 to cover expenses. Lockout fees are $65 during holiday weeks. Service reminder calls are only made for customers with frequencies of every 4 weeks or more.


Arrival Window: 

We make every effort to meet the specific arrival time you need but standard practice is for a 2 hour arrival window to allow for unexpected delays such as traffic of extended time on earlier job.


Valuables: 

To avoid accidents, it would be helpful to secure valuables, collectibles, etc.  We limit our liability for breakage to a maximum of $100 so if you have breakable items of significanty greater value we ask that you secure them or advise if you will allow us to clean them accepting our limited liabilty.


Children: 

Please do not leave small children unattended where they could have access to cleaning supplies. Some cleaning supplies are harmful if swallowed.


Satisfaction Guarantee: 

For regular scheduled customers with ongoing service if our cleaning is not done to your satisfaction please inform our office within 24 hours and we will be happy to come back and correct the problem. We do send an electronic comment card after each cleaning for your convenience and do appreciate all feedback.

Note: One-time jobs done on an hourly basis do not qualify for this guarantee.
